De Anda Studios
We are located in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. Our family studio has been around since no later than 1960 and it's the most prestiged photography studio in our city and one of the best in the northwest of the country. We have customers from Mexico and the United States. My brother and I are the photographers and our father began the business more than 50 years ago (but we're NOT looking for a 50 anniversary logo).
We are a full service studio, which means that we do Weddings (in studio and whole events on location), Portraits (babies, maternity, pregnant portraits, communions, quinceaneras and sweet sixteens, graduations, families, groups, executives -like politicians, governors, big shot CEOs, clerics, and the like-, etc.), Identifications (for passport, visas, schools, etc.), Industrial (buildings, people working, manufacturing processes, finished products, etc.), advertising photography for several local ad agencies and independent companies in business like home development, food, reselling, etc.
My brother and I strive to differientiate from the rest of the photographers in our area and are always looking for new ways of standing out from the crowd with our work.
The name "De Anda Studios" comes from our father, his last name was "Márquez De Anda", so his mother's maiden name was "De Anda". My brother and I don't bear that lastname, we are "Márquez Blake" (in Mexico we use two last names, our father's and our mother's).
We want to appeal the older members of the old families of our community, as well as the new members of all the families. In other words, we want to continue to be in the taste of everyone without being regarded as an old fashion studio just for old timers or a too trendy studio just for the young ones.
